Lean strategy. Less stress.

A nimble approach to business strategy. Get the support you need to take control of your strategic goals.

With 30 years’ experience helping global brands do big, scary things, I’m here to help.

Why I’m here

Every business—no matter how big or small—needs a clear process for navigating their strategic challenges. Whether you’re an executive leading a team or a seat-of-your-pants solopreneur, I’ll help you pick your destination, set sail, and stay on course.

How I help

Together, we’ll create a strategy and carve out time to implement it. We’ll identify the levers of success and put them in your hands. You’ll make clear decisions, knowing which variables to tweak in your business to get the best possible outcome every time.

Who I champion

Each month, I set aside at least 10% of my time, energy, and expertise to support fledgling businesses and community groups run by women and marginalised people. If you’ve got an idea that needs strategic support, I’d love to hear about it.

A strategist who can see around corners

Anticipating future problems (as well as their solutions) is a skill I’ve developed over a long career of helping all sorts of businesses take root, grow, and transform. My experience with multi-national companies like IBM and global banks taught me how to develop a new business strategy, in a new market, on a global scale.

Closer to home, I’ve helped businesses harness emerging IT opportunities to stay relevant in a changing world. In fact, one of my early gigs was helping KPMG integrate tax, consulting and accounting services to support clients through the introduction of the GST.

Later, I helped Australia Post develop a new business approach to shift their focus to become a modern, technology-driven service. Global banks and public health providers got in on the action too—and together we developed new product and service offerings to help them show up for their clients and shareholders.

A creative problem solver

An experienced wayfinder

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been making decisions for you business—it pays to have a neutral, independent person to help refine your thinking. With experience in every possible business model, there’s nothing I haven’t seen.

In a loud, busy, dynamic world, I can help you define your goals, deliver value to customers, grow sustainably, and make an iterative plan for success that everyone can understand.

It’s humbling and heartwarming to think of the brands, start-ups, people, and projects I’ve supported over the years. Here are some of them.

Lean. Agile. Creative.

I was a woman in business before Women in Business were really a thing. With extensive experience working with IT-enabled business strategies, as well as managing businesses of my own, I’ve honed the Agile approach to suit businesses of all sizes.

These days, I’ve moved on from massive, transformational projects because I crave the chance to work in a more personal way with my clients. People like you, who want results without all the bells and whistles.

My strategic process will help you ditch the fluff and focus on what will have the biggest impact.

It’s ideal for mid-sized organisations looking for a strategic facilitator, as well as start-ups and women solopreneurs.

‘Verity,’ I hear you say…

What’s with the wombats?

Let me tell you about wombats.

Often thought of as the bulldozer of the marsupial world, they are focused and determined. Whether digging or foraging, the wombat is totally focused on the task at hand.

Wombats work hard, rest hard, and their poos are cubes. CUBES.

Admittedly, wombats can be grumpy and territorial. But their quirky intelligence and intensity reminds me of my clients.

The work that I do helps lift them out of their burrows so they can see the big picture.

Dogged, industrious, and committed to building something valuable. That’s what’s with the wombats.

I support this amazing group of humans who rescue and rehabilitate wombats. Maybe you will too?
